Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has thanked the club after receiving the Player of the Month award for December, though he was not entirely pleased with his performance at Anfield.
The Gabon international had a wonderful month of December on the individual scale with five goals and two assists across all competitions but he did have a couple of forgettable games including one at Liverpool, where the club suffered an embarrassing 5-1 defeat.
During that game, Aubameyang managed just 13 touches of the ball with six of those being from the kick-off and he happened to highlight the disappointing performance on the road while thanking the Gunners on Twitter.

Since that performance, Aubameyang has managed to return to scoring ways with the final goal in the 4-1 win over Fulham and the strike sees him jointly topping the Premier League scoring charts with Harry Kane on 14.
The Gabon international was entirely rested for the FA Cup third round tie at Blackpool over the weekend but he should return to the setup for the upcoming London derby against West Ham United in the Premier League.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have been one of the league’s most improved teams over the past month and the Gunners can expect a tricky challenge on the road, given the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson have found scoring form of late.
Arsenal have recently found things tough against West Ham on the road and they go into the weekend game with just one triumph in the previous three away meetings against their cross-town counterparts.
