Yaya Sanogo

Remember Yaya Sanogo?, Yes the lanky French striker has finally returned to Arsenal and has made an immediate impact.

The youngster was playing for the North London club’s U-23 side at London Colney as they took on bitter rivals Tottenham yesterday and surprisingly Sanogo scored the opening goal, guiding the Emirates club to a comfortable 2-0 victory.

The 24-year-old has spent last season at Charlton Athletic on loan but hasn’t represented the North London club this season with Wenger reluctant on revealing the reasons for his absence.

The French boss back in December refused to comment on the striker’s injury, and that the details of an apparent injury were “confidential”.

Sanogo has made 11 Premier League appearances for the Gunners since signing in 2013, but hasn’t featured for the Emirates club in the League since a 2-1 defeat to Swansea in November 2014.

The fans have endured a tough spell over the past month after the North London club were thrown out of contention from the Premier League and Champions League after their recent thrashing at the hands of Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Sanogo’s goal finally gave Arsenal fans something to cheer for, and Gooners across the globe celebrated the goal in their own way.

Here are some of the Fans reactions on Social Media website Twitter:
