It is no secret that Arsenal have been active in this transfer window having signed three players so far.
That number is going to increase with the addition of two more players in the form of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi. Guendouzi has already confirmed on Instagram that he’s arrived in London and is expected to complete Arsenal move in a £7m deal, as per Evening Standard.
Both of them have medicals scheduled for today as it appears that the signings will be made official. The information was given by respected BBC journalist David Ornstein who is known for his reliability. This is what he had to say:
“Two medicals taking place at Arsenal today – 22-year-old Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria and 19-year-old France Under-20 midfielder Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient. Torreira key signing for immediate term, Guendouzi high-potential prospect for future.”

This is good news as fans have been waiting for a long time to see the former being announced as a Gunner. Guendouzi is a player for the future but he is expected to play some part in the upcoming season.
Here is the pic:
The exit of Uruguay from the World Cup has allowed Arsenal the chance to complete £26.5m transfer of Torreira. The club has asked the player to travel to London before he can go to his country. When asked about it, he had this to say:
‘I would have been very happy to be able to return to Uruguay with my teammates, but this is a fantastic opportunity [to join Arsenal] and I do not want to waste it.’
Getting the deals done as soon as possible is key as the club can then get the players involved in preseason. Torreira is expected to travel back to Uruguay after the move is made official so that he can have a holiday.
Today will be the day that many fans have been waiting for as once the medical is done for both the players, they can be celebrated as Arsenal players. It appears that the transfer business will be done after these two players but we know how things can pan out. It promises to be a fascinating month ahead.
