17-year-old Chilean forward Marcelo Allende is currently undergoing a third trial at the Emirates, according to reports in football.london.
The Chilean prodigy has been dubbed as the ‘next Alexis Sanchez’ and has had two trials with the Gunners already in 2016, both of which reportedly went very well.
Allende started his career at Cobreloa, the same club where Sanchez made his professional debut in 2005.
He first burst onto the scene after an impressive U-17 FIFA World Cup(2015) and even captained the side while also netting twice to help Chile reach the round of 16.
After impressing there, he then earned a move from his boyhood team Cobreloa to Deportes Santa Cruz after the tournament. He has made 22 league appearances for the Chilean second division side so far.
The report states that the youngster jetted in from Chile on Friday to link up with the academy where he is currently trialing for the North London club and has been tipped to complete a move to the Emirates.
Several other European clubs are keeping tabs on the attacking playmaker including the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk.
Allende’s current club Cobreloa also produced Brazilian-born, former Gunners frontman Eduardo, who is now with Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 5ft 4in forward hopes to match the career of Gunners hero Alexis Sanchez all the way and has chatted to his countryman for advice on how to adapt to the premier league like he did.
And the Chilean talisman has told him to beef up his body to help him reach the highest level, especially if he is dreaming of taking on the physical rigors of the Premier League.
Allende is known as one of the brightest young talents in Chile and may well become a Gunner soon if his reputation back in his homeland is anything to go by.
If he is into his third trial for the club it means Wenger is not ready to let him go as yet and definitely sees something in him to trial again.
Alexis could definitely use a fellow compatriot as a club mate and that might be what was needed all along for him to sign along the dotted lines and if the youngster could fulfill the potential his reputations foreshadows, we might be in for a treat indeed having two Chileans tear up the opposition.
