Arsenal new signing Lucas Perez has confirmed that the Gunners have allowed him to return to his former club in Spain to continue his recovery from the ankle injury he suffered few weeks back.
The Spaniard, who joined the North London club for a fee of around £17 million in the summer, has jetted back to his former club Deportivo La Coruna to continue his rehabilitation process.
The 28-year-old suffered a knock in the Gunners EFL Cup victory over Reading last month and is roughly expected to be back in action only in December.
Here is the tweet from the striker.
Contento de que @Arsenal y @RCDeportivo hayan aceptado que venga a recuperarme a Coruña. https://t.co/F7ct8KsK5k

Happy that Arsenal and Deportivo have agreed for me to return to Coruna.
The striker also threw some light on his injury by confirming that he will be out of action for about 6-8 weeks, but the ankle seems to be reacting well to the treatment. He told Radio Station Cadena Cope:
I have been 15 days out and they told me it would be between six and eight weeks. The ankle is reacting well.
We are meeting the deadlines. Now I am just thinking in recovering as soon as possible and that Arsene Wenger will give me more minutes as he was doing before the injury.
If we go by Perez’s comments, he will be out for at least 4 more weeks, meaning that he might return to the first team squad only in the New year.
There are about 10 more games lined-up for Arsenal until the new year almost a game every 4 days including the big games against United, PSG and Man City which the striker is expected to miss.
It will definitely be a blow for the Gunners since we only have one striker available in the form Giroud but considering how fast the games come during the festive season, it might be a cause of concern for Wenger.
However, the French boss does have Sanchez to cover whenever needed, which he has done pretty well so far. There is also some good news at the end of the tunnel with both Welbeck and Perez expected to return in January, the North London club will be ready with all their guns and hopefully they can sustain this Title challenge till then.
