Former Arsenal defender Lauren feels Hector Bellerin is already a world class player and can become the best in the world in his position, as per Arsenal’s official website.
The Spaniard has developed into one of the finest right-backs in the Premier League ever since breaking into the team and has only missed 3 games in the League so far this season.
The 21-year-old displaced Mathieu Debuchy in the second half of the 2014/15 campaign as the club’s primary right-back while also shrugging off competition from another young prospect Calum Chambers.
The youngster left Barcelona’s youth system to join the North London club in 2011 and has recently signed a new long-term contract last month to long-term commit his future to the Emirates Stadium.
Lauren, who was part of Arsenal’s Invincibles team, has been impressed with his development at the Emirates Stadium and is backing him to continue getting better. Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, he said:
Hector is world class.
He’s still young and he still needs to work on some things, but he’s a very, very good player and a very good right-back.
If he carries on the way he’s going, he can become the best right-back in the world.
Bellerin has been a revelation since bursting onto the scene two years back and has turned out to be one of the best right-backs all around Europe. His pace going forward is one of his lethal strengths and his defensive traits are also pretty strong.
He is crucially important to the prospects of this team. His athleticism and pace, both in attacking and defensive areas, make huge difference to the way the team plays on the whole.
It’s great to see such a sought after youngster committing his long term future to Arsenal and hopefully he can continue to impress and maybe become the world’s best pretty soon.
