Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin has received a potential offer to leave the Emirates Stadium, but not from former club Barcelona, agent Albert Botines has revealed.
The Spain international has been the subject of constant speculation in recent weeks with Barca speculated to hold a keen interest in re-signing their former graduate.
Bellerin, 22, put pen-to-paper on a fresh six-and-half-year deal earlier in the campaign but he has since struggled to showcase his best form with Arsene Wenger underlining his ankle injury against Spurs as the cause.
In a report on Goal.com, Botines insists that his client had been monitored by a few clubs after his extension with an unnamed club rather than Barcelona having made an approach.
“Before he signed his renewal there were six or seven clubs interested in him, and that made him understand he was doing the right things,” he told Goal.
“After he signed the renewal there were only two or three clubs who kept up their interest in Bellerin, and I have to say I only received one offer for him and it is not from Barcelona.”
The former La Masia student has recently been restricted to a bench role under Arsene Wenger with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain getting the nod for the right wing-back spot.
In spite of this, he remains committed to the north London giants after having expressed his loyalty towards the manager, who urged him to switch to right-back during his time in the Gunners academy.
Bellerin, who earns a weekly wage of around £120,000-a-week, has turned out over 100 times for the FA Cup finalists since his breakthrough spell in the 2014/15 season.
