A section of the Arsenal fans were elated with the performance of Lucas Torreira during Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League win over Huddersfield Town.
The Gunners entered the game with a 20-match unbeaten run and they managed to extend the streak further with a close but yet comfortable triumph over the Terriers.
Torreira was once more the leading performer with a couple of crucial tackles but it was his attacking play which earned him plaudits after bagging the sole goal of the game.
The north London side appeared on course to secure a second-straight league draw but Torreira managed to avoid such instance after scoring with a wonderful scissor kick in the 83rd minute.
Following the match, some Arsenal fans took to Twitter to exhibit their happiness over the performance with one of those even suggesting that the player may attract interest from the likes of Real Madrid with his consistent showing of late.
70% of the planet is covered by water, the rest is covered by Lucas Torreira.

Someone needs to check what’s in the Uruguayan tea that Torreira is constantly drinking. The man is a joke. 270 minutes in 6 days, two of which were against direct rivals, and not only did he perform in all of them, he managed to score two goals in the process. What a signing.

Football is a simple game. 22 men chase the ball for 90 minutes and in the end Torreira is the best buy this summer.

You do understand Torreira is already an Arsenal legend?

Torreira has been playing without much rest for club and country over the past few months but his intensity on the field has been impressive.
Apart of his regular defensive duties, the South American has shown more of a presence in the frontline in recent games and this has paid dividends with goals against Tottenham and Huddersfield in addition to providing an assist for Shkodran Mustafi’s lucky strike at Manchester United.
Clearly now, the Uruguayan stands out as one of the best signings of the 2018 summer transfer window but it remains to be seen whether he can keep up the intensity during the congested schedule between December and February, which he would not have experienced during his time at ex-club Sampdoria.
