Arsenal will be eyeing their sixth league win in seven matches when they face Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
Unai Emery’s side are presently occupying the fourth position on goal difference to Chelsea, but they have the advantage of a game in hand to capitalise upon.
The club have not enjoyed the best of runs on the road with just one away league win in 2019, and they need a huge improvement on that statistic to seal the top-four berth.
Formation: 3-4-1-2
Predicted Lineup:
Bernd Leno has been the undisputed pick for the goalkeeping role in the Premier League since October and he should retain his position. The German has recently enjoyed a good league run with three clean sheets in the past four games.
In the defence, no changes are likely from the previous encounter with Laurent Koscielny still deemed doubtful with a minor foot concern. Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis and Nacho Monreal are likely to make the up the heart of the backline with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac featuring in the right and left wing-back positions respectively.
In the midfield, Lucas Torreira remains absent as he serves the third-game of the red card suspension during the north London derby. Likewise, Granit Xhaka could miss the game with a groin complaint and this should witness Matteo Guendouzi and Aaron Ramsey keeping their places. Ramsey was subbed off early against Newcastle with a minor injury concern, but Emery has confirmed that the Welshman has returned to normal training.
In the attack front, Mesut Ozil should retain his spot after producing a strong showing against the Magpies, where he was hugely impressive with the distribution and positioning. The German should once more slot behind the front duo of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who have generally excelled when starting alongside each other.
Predicted Arsenal lineup (3-4-1-2): Bernd Leno; Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Nacho Monreal; Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Aaron Ramsey, Matteo Guendouzi, Sead Kolasinac; Mesut Ozil; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette
