Arsenal have received a triple injury boost ahead of the crucial Premier League game against Liverpool on Saturday night.

Arsene Wenger speaking at his press conference yesterday revealed some good news on the fitness of Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny, and Aaron Ramsey.

Ozil had flu symptoms when he reported for training on Wednesday and didn’t take part in the training after being sent home to rest by doctors.

The reports have been conflicting each other on whether the German midfielder will recover by Saturday but Wenger revealed that the maestro should be fine for the game.

Ramsey suffered a calf injury during the North London club’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Watford on 31st of January and has been out of action since, but returned to full training this week and Wenger has confirmed that the Welshman is back in the squad.

Koscielny who suffered a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League missed the FA Cup win at Sutton United.

However, the French defender has returned to full training this week and should be back in the squad that travels to Merseyside this weekend.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Wenger told Arsenal’s official website:

We have Aaron Ramsey back in the squad. He’s back in full training. Laurent Koscielny, who we lost at Bayern Munich, is back in full training as well.

[On Ozil]We’ll see. I don’t know. He should be OK.

The Gunners are in desperate need of a positive result to get their Premier League campaign back on track. Liverpool are just behind the Emirates club in the table, so Arsenal need all three points to stay clear of them to avoid last minute tussle for places.

It is a huge boost to have the trio back in the squad.
