Fans react to star’s possible move to Arsenal

Recent reports suggest that former Arsenal skipper Robin Van Persie is considering a move back to Arsenal

Today’s  newspaper  reports have shown  that former Arsenal  captain Robin Van Persie  has been linked with a possible move back to ht Emirates Stadium this summer.

Van Pesie could be set for a come back to the north London after his shock move to Manchester United in 2012, according to the Mirror.

The 32-year-old ace’s current club, Fenerbahce, is ready to let him go this summer. Club president Azil Yildririm has been quoted saying:

“Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold.”

Van Persie was openly critical of  team manager  Vitor Pereira, a few  months back when he said he won’t be able to help Fenerbahce if the manager keeps on substituting him, according to the Independent.

The same report goes on to say that Van Persie wants to leave the Turkish with England being a  possible destination, and the 32-year-old ace wants to come back to the Emirates Stadium, the place  where he was developed into one of the most prolific strikers in Europe.

The newspaper claims that West ham and Crystal Palace are also keen on signing the Dutch international but his availability on the market makes his return to the  Emirates Stadium more likely.

The Dutch international netted 132 goals in 277 games at the Emirates Stadium within the time range of 2004 to 2012 before he deciding to join arch rivals Manchester United for£22.5m.

Arsenal fans have come out onto   twitter to share their views on Van Persie coming back to the north London:

Since Van Persie joined the Turkish club for £4m last summer, he has notched up 45 league appearance and netted 20 goals in all competitions for Fenerbahce.

However, I personally think he should not come back to the team, for a player who said he would not play for another Premier League and yet joined Manchester United. These Twitter reactions only suggest that he has fans are divided on this matter.
