Arsenal have officially completed and announced the signing of Granit Xhaka from German club Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old has finally put pen to papers on a long-term deal worth £30 million, becoming the first summer arrival at the Emirates stadium and the third most expensive player for the club after Ozil and Sanchez.

The Swiss midfielder wanted his future sorted out before the commencement of EURO 2016 and the North London club has ensured that, as Wenger is also keen to complete all his signings before the tournament.
Xhaka flew into London last week Friday to finalize his transfer to Arsenal with pictures of him in the club’s new kit leaked on social media.
Speaking during his first start interview as an Arsenal player, Xhaka said he always dreamt of playing in the Premier League and also stated that the league’s aggressive style of play suits him.
‘I am very happy to be here. It’s a dream come true and I’m happy,’ said Xhaka, as quoted on the Metro
‘I remember when I was young and the first game I watched was in the Premier League. It’s a big dream for me and now that I’m here I am very, very happy. ‘I like the style of football [in the Premier League]. It’s aggressive and I like the way Arsenal play football. It’s not like other countries but it’s very, very nice here.’
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger while expressing his excitemennt about the signing said:
“Granit Xhaka is an exciting young player, already with good Champions League and Bundesliga experience.”We have been watching him for a long time now and he is a player who will add quality to our squad.”
The former Basel player captained Gladbach to the fourth position last summer. He scored six goals in 108 appearances for his club. He has won 41 international caps with Switzerland and he is one of the exciting talents to watch out for at EURO 2016.
Most of the time, this is a large part of the reason fans of other clubs get exasperated by North London club fans on Twitter.
However, following the signing of Granit Xhaka, the football world now needs to bow down before the majesty of the official Arsenal account. Whoever is running the account has just won Twitter… with their announcement of Xhaka’s arrival.
Below are the fans reviews and cheerful tweets about the 23-year-old move to the Emirates stadium.

Xhaka isn't a striker or a defender. We need them more, just saying, Mr Wenger #AFC

As good as Xhaka could 'potentially' be, surely Arsenal could have got a ready made DM in Kante for cheaper?
