Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck finally made his return to the first team against Preston North End in the FA Cup on Saturday night and Gunners faithful have taken to Social Media to express their delight.
The Englishman has been struggling with injuries since joining the Emirates club in 2014 and hasn’t played a single minute this season.
The 26-year-old came on for Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 82nd minute, as the North London club moved into the next round virtue of a late goal from Giroud.
He made a great impact when he did come on and forced a wonderful save from the Championship side’s goalkeeper Chris Maxwell with a thumping long-range effort.
The former Manchester United star played on the wings alongside Lucas Perez with Olivier Giroud playing upfront and all three men looked at ease alongside each other. He will now be hoping to help the North London club regain some ground on table-toppers Chelsea in the Premier League.
Welbeck joined the Gunners from Manchester United in a £16million deal during the summer of 2014. His career at the Emirates Stadium has so far been marred by injury and he has played 50 games with 8 assists and 16 goals. His return
His return will provide a huge to Wenger and his men, who have been on a slump recently in the League. The north London side will face relegation battling Swansea next at the Liberty Stadium.

It's actually mad that Welbeck's made 50 appearances when you consider he injury problems he's had. Love the lad.

Thought Welbeck looked really sharp when he came on. Drive through midfield which preceded his shot was excellent.
