Arsenal have reportedly suffered a huge blow in pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic after Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has labelled the deal as ‘more than complicated’.
The 21-year-old burst onto the scene last season after enjoying a stellar season with La Viola, scoring 21 goals and notching up three assists in 37 Serie A appearances. The Serbia international has also started the new campaign brilliantly, scoring eight goals in 12 league appearances.
Earlier reports were claiming that Arsenal are keen on signing Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic in January and have already initiated talks with the Serie A side. But, the north London club haven’t been able to make any contact with the player and his representatives in order to persuade the 21-year-old into joining the Emirates club.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the situation hasn’t changed yet and Mikel Arteta’s side are still interested in signing the youngster but haven’t been able to establish contact with the player’s entourage which has created a complicated situation for the Gunners.
The north Londoners are aware of the interest from other clubs on and are willing to secure a transfer in winter to avoid any competition. But, La Viola have reportedly slapped a whopping €75 million price tag on their talisman to sell in January.
Arsenal are still on the same position for Dušan Vlahovic. He’s appreciated but there’s no conversation ongoing with his agents – Gunners know he’s in the list of many clubs. It’s more than complicated. 🚫🇷🇸 #AFC

Arsenal Fever View:
Signing Vlahovic in January would be a great acquisition for Arsenal. The 21-year-old has already showcased his talent in the Italian league and the Emirates faithful will be hoping that the Serbian can replicate the same performance in the Premier League if the north London club can sign the Fiorentina talisman.
With Alexandre Lacazette’s future still hanging in the air, Vlahovic would be a great replacement for the Frenchman. The 21-year-old has everything in his arsenal to become a world-class striker in future as he is strong, quick and brilliant in the air. With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang already in the squad, the Serbian could blossom under the Gabonese’s tutelage.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing start to the season, Arsenal have turned their fortune around brilliantly and are currently sitting fifth in the table with 20 points in 11 games. Mikel Arteta’s side are only two points behind the fourth-placed Liverpool who the Gunners’ will face-off after the international break.
