According to Sun, Arsenal have beaten Manchester United in signing Lillestrom SK star Erik Tobias Sandberg.
The 16-year-old has an amazing sense of positioning for his age and is the captain of the U-16 Norway side. The teenage starlet plays in the central defence. He has made eight appearances for the U-16 national side and scored one goal.
Touted as one of the brightest prospects of his country, Arsenal had to move fast as Manchester United were also targeting him.
The report goes on to claim that the defender has been offered a scholarship deal that will turn into a professional contract when he turns 17 in February.
Sun has acclaimed that Gunners officials were scouting him for months and were seen watching him when England U-16 faced Norway U-16 team in February where he Captained his national team.
Arsenal is known for its deep scouting network across all over the world having recently signed the likes of Donyell Malen, Krystian Bielik, Ismael Bennacer, Jeff-Reine-Adelaide, Julio Pleguezuelo and Stars such as Hector Bellerin, Jon Toral etc.

With the signing of him and Rob holding, Arsene Wenger is definitely looking at the future and building his team for years to come from the back. While Arsenal fans will be sure to welcome Sandberg to the club, the youngster still appears some way from the first-team action.
