A section of the Arsenal supporters have reacted positively to a transfer gossip which has linked the club with a potential move for Kieran Tierney this summer.
The north London side experienced a disappointing end to the previous season as they suffered a heavy Europa League final defeat and this has meant that they won’t be plying their trade in the Champions League for the third season running.
As such, the club are likely to look to reinforce the backline which has been the prime point of weakness and a recent exclusive from Soccer Link has claimed that the Gunners could be vying for Tierney’s services this summer.
In response to this, a number of Arsenal fans have approved a potential deal for the left-back this summer and a few believe the Scot should replace Sead Kolasinac in the club’s ranks. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter…
25m and we are set for the next 6+ years in this position

I am so happy that Arsenal has been linked with Kieran Tierney today because I so want us to ditch Kolasinac this summer because he was awful in the last months of last season. #Afc #Arsenal pic.twitter.com/kMGk5mBDyp

With the 2018/2019 season have reached a conclusion, the Gunners are likely to focus on strengthening key areas of the field and the left-back spot may come into consideration despite the presence of both Nacho Monreal and Kolasinac.
Monreal has already shown a drop in performance levels over the past year with his trailing age and his replacement in the form of Kolasinac has not managed to impress on a consistent scale for the team.
The Bosnian remains a potent threat while advancing from the left side of the field, but he has not been able to produce a similar level of showing on the defensive front where he has been found out on a number of occasions.
In Tierney, the Gunners may find a solution to their defensive concerns despite his lesser physique than Kolasinac, while he possesses strong crossing attributes which is necessarily not the case with the Bosnian based on recent appearances.
