Arsenal supporters were clearly not pleased with what they saw of Keylor Navas during Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final tie against Juventus on Wednesday night.
The Costa Rican international has recently been linked with a potential move to the Gunners, but the faithful don’t want him anywhere near the club after his howler which nearly cost Los Blancos.
The Bianconeri made it 3-3 on aggregate after a tremendous comeback from being 3-0 down from the first leg, and Navas was guilty of gifting the third goal as his poor handling allowed Blaise Matuidi to have a simple tap-in.
Fortunately for Navas, Los Blancos were handed a last-gasp penalty which Cristiano Ronaldo converted to seal a 4-3 aggregate win for Real Madrid, though their showing was not up to scratch.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions…

@ArsenalFanTV I've read that @Arsenal are eyeing up Keylor Navas of Real Madrid.. After tonight I hope they seriously think that over very clearly.. Far too clumsy and his handling is horrible.

They say Arsenal wanna sign Navas. I'd rather keep Cech.

Navas is renowned for making stellar saves including one which denied Gonzalo Higuain during the first leg. However, he usually accompanies such a performance with an inevitable howler, which brings about the criticism.
The Gunners are on the search for a new shot-stopper to replace Petr Cech as the club’s number one, but judging by Navas’ recent exhibition of his skills, he should be avoided at all costs.
Moreover, the Costa Rican has himself said that he would like to honour the remaining two years of his Los Blancos contract, and this should as well detach any future transfer links with Arsene Wenger’s side.
Arsenal will seek to secure their spot in the final four of the Europa League when they travel to the VEB Arena to take on CSKA Moscow in the second leg of their quarter-final. The Gunners hold a 4-1 lead from the home leg of the tie.
