Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Cohen Bramall from Hednesford Town for £40,000. Having had 7 days that Hollywood scriptwriters will be clamouring after, he is here!
On his interview with Arsenal TV on www.arsenal.com, he had so much to say. Here are some of the extracts from that interview that caught my eye.
[On becoming an Arsenal player]”Incredible, incredible. It’s a dream come true… I can’t believe that I’m here already. It’s mental”
My mouth dropped, I looked at my agent. It was a pretty emotional response really. I just couldn’t believe it… couldn’t believe it. I just thought ‘yes!”
Then when asked about the players he models his after:
“Marcelo, Kieran Gibbs, David Alaba. They bomb forward, and that’s my key – my speed is the key to overlapping, trying to put the ball into the box and trying to get an assist. That’s what I do”
Finally, the part that put the icing on the cake for me was when he was asked about his Arsenal fellowship:
“I followed them a lot, I liked the football. They play the best football in the Premier League, no doubt – there’s no doubt about it. I love watching that. You know that goal with Wilshere and Giroud [against Norwich]?
I love that goal, I always watch it. I tend to learn my role more than watch [games]. It sounds weird but I tend to learn the left-back role by looking at top players rather than watching full games”
So @cbramall96, which Arsenal legend did you look up to when you were younger? pic.twitter.com/jvYO5GPWih

His reference to Wilshere’s goal against Norwich proved to me on a personal note that the boy has got taste and is truly fan. It is my sincere desire he enjoys a career at the Emirates far stellar than Ashley Cole’s at Arsenal.
Moving on, Alexis Sanchez picks up a third Vitality Player of the month award. There’s no doubt he totally deserves the accolade considering his contributions within the team on a constant basis throughout last month.
This season, only Laurent Koscienly and Mesut Özil have picked up this award besides Alexis in the month of August and October respectively.
To see Alex Iwobi third on the polls with 6.5% of the votes cast brings pride to my heart on many levels. This simply proves that irrespective of your age and technique in comparison to others on the team, hardwork, dedication and determination is appreciated and recognised by the fans.
Olivier Giroud is close to signing a new contract with the club. This is definitely good news as his taste for competition for a position that used to be undisputed is remarkable. His current stats certainly does him no damage.
On Saturday, we take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium by 16:00 GMT +1 in the Premier league. Having put an end to their losing streak against Crystal Palace with a 2-1 win, The Swans will be looking to clip some points off us.
Hopefully, the boys would have learnt from the last outing and put an end to slow starts.
COYG!!!
