The draw for the Quarter finals stage of the FA Cup has just been announced and holders Arsenal will travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
There is no doubt that Arsenal fans would have preferred a match up against lower league opposition, but will have to face a tough away tie against a struggling United side.
It is an away game so it will be very tough for the Gunners, but Arsenal will be confident of a good show as they have been in some good form since the turn of the year. The squad is almost fully fit expect for Ramsey, who is also expected to be fit as the game is three weeks away.
Our attacking line is fully fit and should trouble any defence they come up against, so it will be an exhilarating game. United are also going through a purple patch, but the Red Devils haven’t been in great form as they have managed to pull off wins with some mediocre performances.
We don’t have a great coming up against United in the past decade or so, with the Red Devils more or less dominating the statistics. However the same team managed to beat City away who are leaps and bounds ahead of United at this point.
The squad is also stronger than the one we had for the decade, so there’s a great chance of us going through to the semifinals. Apart from Arsenal and United, Liverpool is the only big team remaining in the hunt for the coveted trophy and the Merseyside club will face Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
Here is a stat which will appeal to all Arsenal fans. This is the first time since 1979 that Arsenal, Liverpool and United have all made it to the quarters of the FA Cup and guess who won then?
