As per a report from the Mirror, Arsenal are considering a move for Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva.
The Portuguese star will find chances to be limited following the arrival of Jack Grealish. This has led to suggestions that the playmaker could be sold, and the Gunners are looking at him to be their creative presence.
According to the report, both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Silva but the aforementioned clubs will find it difficult due to their financial situations. That has opened the door for the north Londoners who are on the lookout for an attacking midfielder.
Manager Mikel Arteta has a good relationship with the midfielder having worked with him at City for a long time. The Gunners have been linked with a move for Leicester City midfielder James Maddison but getting it done will be difficult. The club believe that this will not be the case with Silva.

Silva has not been as impressive in the last two seasons, but he remains an elite talent who is capable of changing games on his own. At the Emirates, he would have a more important role to play and that could help bring the best out of the 26-year-old.
The Gunners really need an attacking midfielder, and if Maddison transfer proves to be too expensive, this would be the way to go. Arteta is sure to have an idea of how the Portugal international can help the team. With the reigning Premier League champions looking to sell, it should be easy to complete this deal.
It is good that Arsenal are looking at different options to solve their creativity problems. Silva has the ability to transform the fortunes of the Emirates club and it would be a great deal if it went through.
