Arsenal will reportedly launch an improved bid for Brighton star Ben White after having an initial offer knocked back, as per Goal.
The 23-year-old rose to fame after an impressive loan spell at Leeds United last season, helping them win the championship and gain promotion to the Premier League.
The English defender has been an integral part of Graham Potter’s side having featured in 39 games for them. His impressive performance has earned him a call-up to the England national team for the Euros.
According to Goal, the north London club are not put off by their rejected bid which was in the region of £40million. The Seagulls value the defender at around £50million. The Gunners believe they have a good chance of landing the Englishman and are expected to return to the negotiating table with an improved offer.
Football Insider understands that the Brighton star has informed his friends regarding the potential move to the Emirates. The defender has also started house hunting in London amid hopes that the deal with Arsenal would materialize soon.
On the other hand, Football London suggest that Arsenal’s second bid will be around the £45million mark. Although this is still below Brighton’s expectations, the Emirates club are hopeful this sum could lure White away from the South Coast club.
