Arsenal Team News

Arsenal on Sunday will have their last game of the month against Chelsea, ahead of the final international break of the season, so let’s take a look at the team news.

The Gunners have moved into the quarterfinal of the Champions League against Real Madrid after getting the better of PSV. But before they can get there, there are a few domestic challenges that need to be dealt with and that includes the Blues.

The players who definitely will not be playing again this season remain Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu who are long-term absentees. There is some good news for the club with the return of Ben White.

One more thing to look forward is the impending return of Bukayo Saka. The winger is making good progress and that is going to be a massive boost for the club. With that blockbuster clash against Real looming, this is hugely important.

Arsenal Fever View:

The north Londoners have pretty much sealed their fate in the Premier League and handed the title over to Liverpool. But there are still top-4 spots up for grabs and they would want to finish as high as possible.

It will be a tough game against the visitors who themselves are harbouring dreams of qualifying for next season’s Champions League. And though they might have slipped a little in the last few weeks, they remain an extremely dangerous side.

There is a lot of talent present in their ranks and chief among them is talisman Cole Palmer. Though the Englishman has not scored much recently, he is a huge threat and the home defence would be keen to keep him quiet.

If the hosts can do that and create a few chances of their own, there is a great chance that Mikel Areta will go into the international break, a very happy man. Though the attack is quite depleted, there is enough quality present.

Arsenal will not find it easy to get the three points in this London derby but if they do so, it will ensure that they retain bragging rights for a few more months. Arteta and the home fans would be hoping for a strong showing to end the month on a positive note.
