After registering their first win of the Premier League season, Arsenal will travel to Turf Moor on Saturday to take on Burnley and let’s take a look at the team news.
The Gunners had a tough start to their campaign as they played Chelsea and Manchester City within their first three games. This was compounded by a loss to Brentford in the season opener. But with a 1-0 win over Norwich City, Mikel Arteta’s men are looking to get back on track.
For the Burnley match, the north Londoners will be without three players as they are either injured or suspended(as per Arsenal’s official website). Granit Xhaka is serving the second of his three-game suspension after getting a red card against City.
The other two players who are set to miss out on the weekend are defender Rob Holding and midfielder Mohamed Elneny. The centre-back has a problem with his knee and the Egyptian has an issue with his hamstring.
Arsenal Fever View:
Burnley is never an easy place to visit, and the Gunners are going to have a real challenge on their hands. If they can get another win under their belt, it bodes well for their confidence ahead of the north London derby coming up next week.
The performance against Norwich would have certainly encouraged Arteta as the players were able to play in a more cohesive manner. This led to a lot of chances being created and, on another day, the north Londoners could have gotten four or five goals.
When facing a team shaped by a manager like Sean Dyche, the Emirates club will have to be careful of how physical the game can get. Burnley will surely make it difficult for the visitors as they look to often tackle and ensure that the likes of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka do not settle into a rhythm.
Arsenal have a good chance to get their second Premier League win of the season and they must believe that they can get the better of Burnley. Though a few players are missing this game, there is enough talent among the squad to get the job done.
