Talented forward Eddie Nketiah who is on loan at Leeds United is all set to be recalled by Arsenal on January 1st, according to reports in Yorkshire Evening Post(via Metro).
The report states that the North London club are unhappy with his loan spell, owing to the lack of game time. The forward has managed just one start in the Championship but has still managed to bag 5 goals so far.
Leeds are still keen on hanging on to the 20-year-old, but the Emirates club sees no value in letting him continue to warm the benches.
Daily Mail are claiming that the forward will be sent on his second loan spell of the season and this time it will be to Bristol City. Apart from Bristol, some of the other teams that are in the mix to get him are Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.
Nketiah has shown an eye for goal whenever he has played even though he has been mainly on the bench for Leeds. It will be for the benefit of the player to move him to a club that will play him more often.
This way it will aid his development as the youngster needs to be playing on a more regular basis. It is also good to see the club take an active interest in the player’s development and not just let him be at a club that isn’t offering him game time.
And the fact that all these clubs are interested in Nketiah is proof of how talented he is and where he can potentially reach. Some forwards just seem to have a knack of knowing where the back of the net is and the Englishman is one such player.
Those at Arsenal will be hoping that he can come back as a more improved player that will benefit the first team for years to come. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not getting any younger so it will be of great help to the Gunners if they can get someone who will take on the goal-scoring burden.
Nketiah is a highly thought of young striker and fans will be watching with keen interest to see how he develops.
