Arsenal have received a huge injury boost ahead of the Atletico Madrid game with Henrikh Mkhitaryan having reported for first-team training alongside his teammates.
The Armenia international suffered a recurrence of his knee problem during the 2-1 league defeat at Manchester United but he appeared in good mood in the lead-up to tomorrow’s Europa League clash.
According to reports, Mkhitaryan participated in Wednesday’s morning session without any issues and he is likely to board the flight for the Gunners’ away trip to Madrid.
The Armenian has not featured for the Gunners in Europe since the round of 16 first-leg against CSKA Moscow and during this period, Danny Welbeck has slotted into the left wing position.

Welbeck has for certain improved on his showing in recent weeks but Mkhitaryan offers much more in the attack with his movement and tendency to occupy a free role which allows him to swap flanks during the game.
The 29-year-old made a strong return from his knee injury last weekend by scoring against his former employers, and he now needs to help his side to find the breakthrough at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Arsenal are presently trailing in the Europa League semi-final after handing an away goal in a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium and they need to score at least once in order to overturn the scoreline on the road.
Aside from Mkhitaryan, Iwobi also participated in the training session despite fears of a minor hamstring issue sustained at Old Trafford last weekend.
