Arsenal have reportedly finalised a transfer agreement which will see David Ospina join Fenerbahce on a £6m deal in the summer.
The Colombia international has cut a frustrated figure at the Emirates this season with Petr Cech being preferred as the first-choice goalkeeper.
Spanish outlet Fichajes, via The Sun claims that the Gunners have agreed to the summer sale of Ospina following his restricted gametime over the course of the campaign.
Ospina had been tipped to leave the Gunners during the previous summer transfer window, but he was convinced to stay by manager Arsene Wenger, who guaranteed him a regular run in the Cup games.
However, this has not been sufficient to keep him happy with injuries along the way affecting his chances of earning playing time in any competition.
As The Sun report, the Colombian has decided to part ways with the Gunners in order to secure his place with the national side ahead of next year’s World Cup in Russia.
Ospina has two years left on his current £40,000-a-week contract and this appears to have helped the Gunners negotiate a £6m fee – twice the sum paid to Nice in the summer of 2014.
The shot-stopper has made just two appearances in the Premier League this term – the last of which came in a 2-2 draw against Manchester City at the start of April.
Ospina is currently nursing a back problem sustained during the Citizens game, and he may have made his last appearance in the Arsenal shirt with Petr Cech tipped to start against former club Chelsea in the FA Cup final next month.
