As per latest reports, Arsenal are planning a move for Dutch winger Noa Lang who plays for Club Brugge in the Belgian league.
The 22-year-old moved to Brugge on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell last season where he scored 17 goals. And this season, his good form saw him rewarded with a call-up to the national team, where he eventually made his debut.
According to a report from Voetbal24, the interest from the Gunners in the winger is increasing considerably. They are said to be preparing an offer for the player in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The report goes on to state that the north Londoners are willing to offer up to €30m but the Belgian club are looking for something in the region of €40m. However, Brugge are aware that it may not be possible to keep hold of their star beyond January due to the interest from England.
And the Express states that Lang is thought of as a player who fits into the recruitment strategy of the club. Manager Mikel Arteta and Technical Director Edu want to buy talents between the age of 21 and 24, who are yet to realise their full potential.
Arsenal Fever View:
The Gunners could do with having another option to play on the wings and from what we have seen of the Dutch youngster, he is pacy and skillful. This is always a good combination to have and it has the ability to cause defences a lot of problems.
As of now, the north Londoners do have some excellent options for these positions, but it is always good to increase the level of depth. There might be a difference in the price that both teams are looking at and that could delay any possible deal.
With their spending this summer, Arsenal have made it clear that they are in the market for young and talented players. Lang is someone who does fall into that category, and he has the potential to become an even better player. The only sticking point could be how much the Gunners want to go as far as a fee is concerned.
