Arsenal will face Burnley at the Turf Moor on Saturday looking to build on their win over Norwich City, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.
The visitors will have to be at their best to get the victory and Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his team adds another three points to their tally.
The hosts are not in the best of form so, this isn’t a good time for the Gunners to be visiting. They will also have to do without the services of Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding and Mohamed Elneny with the Swiss suspended and the other two injured.
We can expect to see the north Londoners set up in the 4-2-3-1 formation that Arteta prefers to use. Bernd Leno is expected to make a return to the starting XI after Aaron Ramsdale made his league debut last week.
Arteta is likely to stick with the same defence from the last game. Takehiro Tomiyasu did really well in his first appearance and is expected to start as the right-back. Kieran Tierney will line up on the opposite flank as the left-back. In the middle, the centre-back pairing of Ben White and Gabriel will continue given how well they complement each other.
A major bit of good news for the Gunners is the return of Thomas Partey and the Ghanaian is expected to start in central midfield and Albert Sambi Lokonga is likely to partner him. The Belgian has been a bright spot this season so far and will get another chance.
It was great to see the north Londoners create so many chances against Norwich and that was in large part due to the trio behind the striker. This time, we will see Martin Odegaard as the attacking midfielder with Emile Smith Rowe on the left-wing. Between Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe, Arteta is more likely to go with the Englishman.
Leading the line will be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who got the club’s first Premier League goal of the season. If the captain can find the back of the net again, Arsenal have a great chance of coming away with the three points.
