Arsenal are reportedly interested in making a summer move for PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa, according to reports in Spanish outlet Sportmediaset
The 24-year-old has made been impressive this season scoring two goals and providing two assists in 20 appearances for the French club this term, while also featuring six times for French national team scoring one goal.
The report in Sportmediaset claims that the North London club have been closely monitoring the former Monaco star for months now and will be looking to move for the talented defender in the summer.
The Gunners are reportedly willing to make an offer for the talented defender regardless of the scrutiny surrounding Arsene Wenger’s future at the club.
PSG signed the talented left-back in the summer of 2015 for roughly €25 million, but are reportedly willing to sell the Frenchman if they receive a bid in the vicinity of €20 million.
The Emirates club are said to be weighing up an offer in the same region of PSG’s evaluation for the 24-year-old, but it remains to be seen whether the interest materializes into a transfer.
The North London club already have Nacho Monreal and Gibbs in that left-back position but the recent performances from the duo haven’t been encouraging. Monreal has been the preferred starter but he is aging fast and the performances have been reflecting that.
Gibbs has been with the club for long now but has never really made the step up and it seems that has influenced the club in looking for alternatives. Kurzwa who is one of the more attacking full-backs in modern football, has been playing at the highest level for a while now and will definitely prove to be an upgrade.
Arsenal recently spent a fortune on Mustafi, so the price tag will be well within the reach of the Emirates club and if the interest is genuine then signing should;t be much of a problem.
Should we sign him? What do you say Gooners?
