The price that is being quoted by Roma is said to be around €60m and the reason for the price being so high is the fact that Roma will have to pay a percentage of the fee back to Under’s former club.
Though it was being suggested that Bayern Munich were the front runners in their efforts to sign the Turkish winger, it is now said that Arsenal are the favorites at the moment. The German club were looking at the Roma player to replace the ageing Robben but it seems that they have cooled their interest for the time being at least.
It is well known that the Gunners are traditionally not a club that likes to spend a lot of money but they have shown in the past that they are willing to do it if needed as evidenced by the signings of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
