Alexis Sanchez has reportedly been in contact with Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery over a potential move to the French Ligue 1 in the summer, Get French Football News claims.
The Chile international has shown no signs of extending his Gunners contract beyond the summer of 2018, and it is suggested that he could be cashed in when the transfer window reopens in July.
Both Manchester City and Chelsea have been touted as potential destinations for the attacker in the summer, but the Gunners are said to prefer the player’s exit to a foreign club capable of matching their £50m asking price.
Get French Football News reports that Les Parisiens manager Emery has taken matters into his own hands as he bids to lure the Gunners forward to the French capital during the off-season.
Emery is understood to have held a regular communication line with Sanchez over the course of the campaign with Les Parisiens having underlined Sanchez as their top priority for the summer transfer window.
Edinson Cavani has solely handed the burden for Les Parisiens in the frontline this term, and Emery considers Sanchez as the perfect companion for the Uruguayan ahead of the 2017/18 season.
Sanchez has enjoyed his best campaign in the Gunners shirt to date with 23 goals and 14 assists across all competitions, and he will seek to add more to his tally in order to help the club achieve a top-four finish in the standings.
The 28-year-old will have to be in his best form this weekend when Arsenal host Manchester City in the semi-final stage of the FA Cup – a trophy that the club have won twice in the last three years.
