Arsenal could reportedly part ways with star forward Alexis Sanchez this summer after his representative Fernando Felicevich travelled to Bavaria to hold talks with German champions Bayern Munich.
The Chile international contributed 24 goals and 10 assists for the Gunners during the 2016/17 league season, but despite this, the club failed to clinch a top-four finish in the standings.
As a result, the attacker has made his mind up for a fresh challenge with the Gunners having missed out on the Champions League for the first time since the 1996/97 season.
Chilean publication El Mercurio claims that the forward could be heading for a summer exit from the Emirates with his agent having flown to Germany to hold discussions with Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
The Bundesliga holders have held a keen interest in the 28-year-old over the past month or so, and they are now prepared to make a formal approach with the transfer window due to reopen in less than 40 days’ time.
Sanchez currently has just a year left on his present Gunners deal, and the north London club would be willing to accept Bayern’s offer of $65m, which would, in turn, earn the player a salary hike.
The former Barcelona man currently earns £130,000 a week in England, and he stands a chance of a 175 percent increase in his wages, should he make the switch to the Bundesliga.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is also understood to be keen on a reunion with Sanchez this summer, but a deal looks highly unlikely with Arsenal in favour of shipping the player abroad.
Sanchez could have a key role to play in the FA Cup final this weekend when Arsenal take on a Chelsea side, who are beaming with confidence after their recent Premier League triumph.
