Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey’s current contract, like so many others, is running out and the Welshman is considering his future.
Although he still has his best years in front of him, it’s said that the chance to link up with former Wales Manager at Sunderland is one option that he is seriously considering should negotiations run into trouble.
It’s no major secret that the pair have a mutual admiration for each other and Coleman sees Ramsey as the ideal man to drive Sunderland forward.
The 27-year-old has been critical of certain aspects of Arsenal’s current set up and has had a disagreement of sorts with the clubs manager, even going as far as to question tactics.
Wenger would be reluctant to lose yet another midfielder but Ramsey has not had the impact on the team that was his trademark three of four seasons ago.
The Sunderland Manager keeps in contact with the midfielder and believes he could persuade him to make the move, he would even make him Captain if he were to agree.
Ramsey is worth £20 million in the current market and his sale would indicate that Wenger plans wholesale changes in the engine room to get back on terms in the Premier League.
Ramsey has his admirers and will not be short of offers when his contract ends including Everton and a host of foreign clubs.
