Arsenal target and Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu will reportedly finalise his next move within the next few days, according to Turkish Football.
The Turkey international revealed last month that the Gunners are interested in signing him and his representative has since hinted that £35m deal is close to completion.
As per Turkish Football, the 22-year-old is presently on vacation in Ibiza but he is likely to reach a conclusion over his future following the conclusion of the Ramadan period.
It is added that the Gunners are likely to face competition from a few Premier League rivals with Manchester United and Liverpool said to hold an interest in the centre-back.
Arsenal have placed a general emphasis on bolstering the defensive side of their game this summer and they have already secured deals for both Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis, though the latter has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, an agreement to pursue midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria also appears close to completion and this could shown be followed by the signing of goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.
Nonetheless, Emery is said to be operating on a limited pre-sales budget of just £50m and the arrivals will most likely be compensated with a few exits from the current squad.
Long-standing midfielder Jack Wilshere appears likelier by the day to leave on a free transfer and David Ospina could be next through the exit door to compensate for Leno’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium.
The position of defender Calum Chambers has also been questioned despite only signing a fresh deal last summer and he is supposedly a target for newcomers Fulham.
