England international Jack Wilshere has confirmed that he will be leaving Arsenal when his contract concludes at the end of the month. The North London club have also officially announced the news on their website.
The 26-year-old has been tipped to leave the Gunners over the past few weeks and the midfielder has now personally taken to his Instagram account to confirm the decision.
In his post, Wilshere revealed that he had held a meeting with new manager Unai Emery regarding his future but the failure to receive assurances over regular gametime is said to have influenced the decision to leave the club.

Wilshere had struggled with injuries over the past few years but he has certainly laid a mark with the Gunners with his excellent commitment on the playing field.
Under ex-boss Arsene Wenger last term, there were signs that he could extend his long-term stay with the club but things have genuinely changed ever since with Emery bringing a different perspective to his management.
As things stand, the Gunners do not have a replacement in place for Wilshere but based on recent reports, the club are seemingly close to wrapping up the signature of Sampdoria’s Lucas Torreira.
The Uruguay international is currently at the summer World Cup in Russia and the Gunners are nevertheless keen on securing a preliminary agreement with the Serie A outfit.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are yet to resolve the future of Aaron Ramsey whose deal expires in a year’s time but there is a sense of optimism around the club that the Welshman will extend his stay upon his arrival for the pre-season
