There were a lot of factors to admire about the way in which Arsenal dismantled Fulham on Sunday. You could talk about the quality of the goals that were scored by the Gunners.
But, there was something else that caught the eye of many fans and that was the display of the new midfield enforcer, Lucas Torreira. His impressive performance drew rave reviews from fans.
This just goes to show how much Torreira has done to get a place in the hearts of the Arsenal fans. His career at the Emirates did not get off to a flying start but he has slowly earned the praise of manager Unai Emery to become a mainstay of the team.

As far as his playing is concerned, there is a lot to admire. From the outset, you can see that not only is he a busy player, he is also very smart. This smartness in his playing style is extended to both the attacking and defending side of his game.
And another reason for him and the team playing so well is the partnership that he has formed with Granit Xhaka in the middle of the pitch. Torreira and his aggression allow the Swiss to be a little bit more free on the pitch and that is helping the Gunners a lot when it comes to their build-up play.
Fans will hope that it is this kind of display that they can expect to see on a weekly basis. Arsenal are on an excellent run of form and have now won nine games in a row.
A large part of that success should be credited to Torreira and he security that he provides the team with. The Gunners are definitely on the up and it is exciting to see where they can go from here.
