Welbeck and Holding to start, Sanchez out: 4-2-3-1 Arsenal predicted line-up against Sutton United

Team News and Predicted Line-up

As the curtains drop on one competition, the sun rises on another for Arsenal as they take on Sutton United at Borough Sports Ground tomorrow evening in the fifth round of the FA cup.

There’s no doubt as regards to the morale and energy in the team, however, this is a great opportunity to return to winning ways and extinguish that vibe.

Having been quizzed on his team selection during his pre-match conference on Friday, Arsene Wenger’s response gives an insight into his approach to this game.

Here are some interesting quotes from that interview on Arsenal’s official website:

I always had in my head that it was a very important game,” said the boss. “In my head I have had a team that will start and play there, for a week or 10 days now. That result we had at Bayern Munich will not influence that selection

I really hope the team he is referring to is the one that demolished Southampton in the fourth round.

He further said:

The FA Cup is one of our targets. It’s the next game and for us to bounce back after the game we just had, it becomes a very important game. But it always was, in my head

Then, the last statement that caught my attention:

It will be the FA Cup with everybody supporting them. They’ve been preparing for this game for a long time in their heads with a huge enthusiasm, so you cannot compare that with the game against Boreham Wood

The Boreham Wood game saw Sutton United suffer a 5-nil defeat although it should be noted that a couple of their first team players were missing.

Based on the above, our lineup should take this format;

(GK)David Ospina, (RB)Hector Bellerin, (RCB)Holding, (LCB)Mustafi, (LB)Monreal, (DM)Xhaka, (CM)Maitland-Niles, (CAM)Jeff-Reine Adelaide, (RW)Walcott, (LW)Danny Welbeck, (CF)Giroud.

MatchDay Menu:

Tournament: FA cup Fifth Round, Date: Monday 20th February 2017, Venue: Borough Sports Ground, Time: 20:55 GMT + 1,

Prediction: 1-4, Arsenal to progress….
