Arsenal finally returned to winning ways in the Premier League after securing a narrow 1-0 victory against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.

Danny Welbeck scored a fantastic header on the hour mark to put the Gunners league campaign back on track after back to back defeats to Swansea and Manchester United.

Wenger named a very attacking line-up with a front line comprising of 3 strikers in the form of Sanchez, Welbeck and Giroud. The game started on a quite note as both teams struggled to stamp a foot hold on the game, but as the game went on Arsenal started to dominate.

The attacking trio posed a significant threat on the counter attack, but just couldn’t find the necessary final ball to give the Gunners a first half lead. However as the game went on the understanding blossomed and they were able to create more opportunities and the goal finally came courtesy of the Arsenal’s best player on the pitch Santi Cazorla.

The Spaniard skipped past a defender to the byline and chipped an excellent cross in to the penalty area where Welbeck leapt high to score with a powerful header that Foster managed to get a hand on, but could not stop hitting the back of the net. It was a typical striker goal from the Englishman who showed that he can get into the goal scoring positions.

The Baggies came back strongly and even managed to hit the cross bar once, but Arsenal’s defence somehow managed to hold on to the lead. It wasn’t the best of the performances, but having made their worst start to a season in 32 years, three points and a clean sheet will be a big confidence boost for the team.
