Arsenal and Spurs fans debate Ozil, Janssen and the north London derby

Arsene Wenger

The day has arrived, as Arsenal face Tottenham in the first North London derby of the season at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

There is plenty at stake as a win will push the Gunners to the top of the table, after Man City dropped 2 points against Middlesbrough conceding a late goal in extra time. That’s not the only thing that will inspire Arsenal, as Tottenham’s unbeaten streak this season will also end with a win.

The Emirates club have been in impressive form over the past few weeks and seem like a team on a mission. They are unbeaten in the last 15 games in all competitions and have only drawn 3 games during this run.

Major Injuries have stayed away from the Gunners this season and the returning players have also had a great impact on the side, including the impact Giroud has had over the past few games.

Walcott and Bellerin will be available in time for the game, but Cazorla might not be available as he just started training this week.

Spurs on the other hand have been struggling and are actually win-less in their last 6 games in all competitions, including this week’s shock defeat at the hands of Bayern Leverkusen. Tottenham started the season with a bang, but it has all started going downhill since their impressive coup of Guardiola’s City at the start of October.

The morale will be very low for Pochettino and they would inspiration from somewhere to get past Arsenal. The Gunners have enough strength and class to overcome their North London neighbors this Sunday, but you never know in football.

Ahead of this weekend’s big one, our friends over at Betway have hosted a special North London derby edition of their weekly Blow The Whistle YouTube show.

Arsenal fan Jack Green represents the Gunners with 30 seconds to state his case against a Spurs fan on 3 key topics:

Is Janssen Tottenham’s new Soldado (a.k.a another flop striker)?

Can Mesut Ozil be considered one of football’s superstars?

Do Spurs have a better chance of winning the title this year than Arsenal?

Fans are encouraged to give their take on the debate, with £10 Free Bets handed out to the best answers in the YouTube comments section. Watch the episode here:
