Arsenal have finally, finally completed a deal for a striker, fellow gooners! Now it’s only a matter of time till we will all see an announcement on the club’s official club.
Photographs of Arsenal bound striker Lucas Perez on the plane and on the Heathrow Airport are two very exciting news developments on social media for the Arsenal faithful.
Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier that the defender Shokdran Mustafi and Lucas Perez have both passed their medicals, and the only thing that remains now is ‘paperwork’ as per this report in The Mirror.
Here are photographs of the Spaniard as leaked on twitter.

Perez passed his medical at Arsenal on Friday, according to The Daily Mail. The Spanish striker, apparently flew in to London on Friday, to complete his £17m move to Arsenal. On Monday, he was spotted at the Heathrow airport as apparent in these photos, to go back to Spain and say his final goodbyes to his former club, Deportivo La Coruna, for whom he scored 17 goals in 37 La Liga game. Over a span of 3 seasons, Perez scored 24 goals in 59 appearances for Deportivo.
While many would doubt the quality that Perez can bring to the Emirates, considering that many fans must have looked forward to a more ‘high profile’ and big name striker signing, his performances in Spain leave no room for doubt; the man has qualities that can in most definitive terms compliment Arsenal’s movement in attack. The 27 year old is quick, and capable of pulling strikers away, most effectively from a striking partner up front.
He is according to some, a player similar to Antoine Griezmann, who has been Arsene Wenger’s first choice striker target all summer according to some reports. Giroud’s performances for France in the Euros this year, with a striking partner up front seems like a possible explanation for why Wenger has moved for Perez.
If Giroud can work with Perez up front that way he did with Griezmann in the Euros, Arsenal could do wonders this season.
