The 2017/18 season was his breakout year. He showed that he could apply himself even at the highest level. The most impressive aspect of his performances was the versatility that he showed.
A number of factors ranging from injuries to transfers meant that he had to fill in for a number of positions. He ended up playing as a right back, left back and in the center of midfield. With his future locked down, it is time for the player to go from strength to strength. It is certainly interesting to see how he will be used but the future looks exciting.
