Sam Allardyce romances Jack Wilshere ahead of possible Everton move

Jack Wilshere

Arsenal’s calamitous negotiations with Jack Wilshere indicate that the player will leave the Emirates at the end of the season.

The North London club have presented the player with a derisory offer based on appearances and his ability to remain fit, which has been firmly rejected.

There will be no shortage of takers for Wilshere but Everton have been extremely vocal about the player of late, and manager Sam Allardyce has already commenced his charm offensive.

Sam is romancing the star with a view to install him in the Everton midfield as soon as he becomes available but the English midfielder may yet aspire to bigger opportunities.

That hasn’t stopped Captain Bung from preparing the meal and lighting the candles. Sam also has a very persuasive chat up line for a disgruntled footballer, just look at his romancing of former Arsenal star, Theo Walcott.

Walcott had been mesmerised by Allardyce’s sugar-coated praise and succumbed to the promise of imminent progress by signing on the dotted line.

Sam is already following his own tried and trusted techniques which were evident on Alan Brazil’s Sports breakfast when he said of Wilshere:

“I’ve always admired him, oh yes. I’ve seen a big difference in Jack Wilshere recently, in his frame, in his body.”

“He looks like he has really got the bit between his teeth. He looks a lot fitter than he was and he is leaner in his face. He looks like he’s had a real go off the field, with his diet and extra training, to overcome his injury problems and prove what a great player he is.”

Unless Arsenal make an improved offer, Sam may be the first one at the florists and making a reservation at a local restaurant. Romance isn’t dead, not in the world of football.
