Rafinha keen on Arsenal move, Spanish club ready to sell

Barcelona ace Rafinha is reportedly keen on a switch to the Emirates as he looks to earn regular first-team opportunities from the 2017/18 campaign. The Brazil international is currently nursing a knee injury sustained at the backend of the last season.

According to ESPN Brasil (h/t) Metro, the 24-year-old is eyeing a potential move to the Emirates this summer with Arsene Wenger’s side having already expressed an interest in his services.

The Spanish outfit currently value their asset at around €30 million (£26.4m), but are hoping to use him in a proposed deal to lure Hector Bellerin from the North London this summer.

Bellerin has transformed into one of the best right-backs in the Premier League in recent times, and Ernesto Valverde’s side see him as the perfect fit to occupy a similar position at Camp Nou next term.

Nevertheless, the FA Cup holders are in a good position to keep hold of Bellerin beyond the summer as he still has six more years left on his existing Gunners deal.

Wenger is presently on the search for a versatile player in the summer, and Rafinha perfectly fits the bill owing to his ability to feature in central midfield, right wing or as a right-back.

Rafinha has had his injury concerns over the past few years at Barcelona, and this has hindered his chances of making a regular appearance with the Catalonia-based club.

The versatile ace star has bagged eight goals in 48 league appearances for Barcelona to date. On top of it, he has managed two outings with Brazil with his debut coming against Costa Rica back in 2015.
