Arsenal weighing up £15m bid for Albanian ace

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Napoli versatile full back Elseid Hysaj currently representing his nation Albania in the Euros, as per Daily Star.

According to Daily Star, Arsene Wenger has been hugely impressed by Hysaj’s display in Serie A during the last 12 months and is poised to confirm his interest with a concrete offer.

The Albanian International vice-captain managed 37 Seria A appearances, helping Napoli to finish second in the table after a short-lived title challenge to winners Juventus.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested monitoring the 22-year-old but won’t be able to offer him Champions League football, both appear well down the pecking order.

With Debuchy destined to leave the club after horrid 2 years at the club which he spent mostly at the injury table or at loan, and Carl Jenkinson out injured, it seems obvious that Arsene Wenger is looking to add a full back that can compete with Hector Bellerin for the starting spot in the team.

Elseid Hysaj’s versatility also means that he can compete with Nacho Monreal for the Left back position which may bring an end to the career of Kieran Gibbs in an Arsenal shirt.

All these Media Reports and Speculation can only mean one thing that Arsenal are really looking to strengthen their squad especially the full back positions.

With the likes of Ricardo Rodriguez and Elseid Hysaj linking with a move, we could see a mass summer shake-up with the likes of Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debichy leaving.

Hysaj was included in the best 11 of Seria A youth players by football analyst Gianluca Di Marzio among big names such as Juventus players Paul Pogba, Dybala and Inter Milan player Mauro Icardi. With age well on his side, there is plently of time for growth and development.

Let’s see if the deal will ever see the light of the day. What we do know is that Arsene likes his players young and Elseid Hysaj could just be the signing he has in his mind.
