Arsenal Player Reviews: Tomas Rosicky

It’s been a pretty good season for Arsenal and as we reach it’s pinnacle, it’s time to look back at how each of our player’s fared. Today we bring you one of the most liked Arsenal player of all all time and it’s none other than our one and only little Mozart.

Last year when we overcame Hull 3-2 to win the FA cup, It was perhaps very sweet to this man who formed the heart of midfield along with Fabregas in the post Invincibles’ period and has stayed with us during our crisis times and finally won his first trophy with the Gunners last season after having arrived at 2007.

The Czech international was mostly limited to a bit part role this season. He has been one of our best impact subs, coming on from the bench and his impact in doing so has been terrific. His movements injects urgency and speeds up the overall speed of play. He came on during the final minutes in the nervy home game against Everton and scored to wrap up the win. He also scored an important goal versus QPR after we were reduced to 10 men.

Arguably his best performance of the season came in the FA Cup victory over Brighton which took us to the next round. His superb all round performance was capped off with a goal and an assist and his trademark no-look pass to Ozil put his incredible vision on display. Then shortly after the break he struck an emphatic volley to the low corner that took their keeper by surprise.

Rozza is a good squad player and can serve as a mentor for youngsters like Dan Crowley and also Wilshere. He might well leave the club in the summer for more game time, but if we can offer him a good contract he might just stay back.

I still feel that Rosicky is still worth keeping at the club simply because he still has that quality and ability to make an impact on the game when brought upon and given our injury history he still might get some good playing time. After all he’s 34 but still plays like a 24 😉 Though he hasn’t won much with us he well and truly has won our hearts over the years.
