Barcelona will move to complete £35m Arsenal deal, 3 players offered as part of a swap deal

Spanish champions Barcelona are prepared to offer one of Ivan Rakitic, Arda Turan or Andre Gomes to Arsenal in a proposed deal to sign Hector Bellerin in the summer.

Bellerin, 22, has been the first-choice right-back at the Emirates in recent seasons, and his progress earned him a fresh six-and-a-half year deal in November 2016.

The Spaniard has since struggled to produce his best game in the Gunners shirt, but he has still received the backing of manager Arsene Wenger, who feels the defender has yet to recover from his ankle problem earlier in the season.

According to The Star, via Don Balon, Barca will seek to revive their interest in Bellerin in the summer after having watched him on a couple of occasions during the ongoing campaign.

The Catalan giants have lacked the presence of a top-class right-back in their ranks since the exit of Dani Alves last summer, and this has urged them to move in for Bellerin with Sergi Roberto yet to find his feet on the right side of the backline.

Bellerin, who is rated at around £35m, is understood to be the top priority for Barca this summer and they will seek to offload one of Rakitic, Turan or Gomes in exchange for the full-back.

Arsene Wenger’s team have lacked the presence of a box-to-box midfielder in their ranks this season, and the arrival of Rakitic or Gomes could definitely provide an improvement to their existing options.

Meanwhile, the FA Cup finalists have recently been linked with a move for Turan who is being earmarked as a potential replacement for World Cup winner Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal have recently made the switch to the 3-4-2-1 formation, and this has seen Bellerin make way for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who has occupied the right wing-back position.
