Arsenal have already signed Lucas Torreira, reveals agent of La Liga star

Arsenal have reportedly held talks with the agent of Slovakian International Stanislav Lobotka, who has impressed with his performances in La Liga with Celta Vigo.

However, the midfielder’s agent has also possibly leaked another news that would make many Arsenal fans happy.

The agent confirmed that the north London club have already signed Lucas Torreira, while also revealing that talks regarding his client have been held, but isn’t anything concrete yet.

Speaking to La Voz de la Galicia, he said:

“Arsenal? The Gunners have taken Torreira, we only had a chat but nothing concrete. PSG is one of the top five clubs in the world, but Stanko is at the level to play there.

“If there is a good offer there will be no problems: if it arrives he will go away, otherwise he will continue at Celta. He would like to play the Champions League like any player, but the priority is to play better than last year.”

The Gunners are not the only ones looking to make a move for Stanislav Lobotka, however, with The Express reporting that both Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain have their eye on the player.

Furthermore, the transfer has been cast into doubt after president of Sampdoria confirmed the transfer of Lucas Torreira in what looks to be a signing that will be announced shortly or after the World Cup.

As well as this, the huge interest in Sevilla player Ever Banega is making fans think Emery doesn’t need to bring in more players in midfield and that he should focus on strengthening Arsenal’s weak defence.

This being said, interest in Lobotka should not be dismissed, the Slovakian midfielder has played in all 38 league games for Spanish side Celta Vigo including their impressive game holding Barcelona to a 2-2 draw.

Known for being a strong passer of the ball and for being keen to get involved physically in a game, the defensive midfielder could shine in Arsenal’s midfield playing in a duo with Granit Xhaka.

The playmaker has also been seen taking Xhaka-style long-shots at any opportunity he can and this could bring an exciting flair to the London team that has become infamous for its pass-heavy build-up play Under Arsene Wenger.
