Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants to complete transfer move for 25-year-old midfielder

Every football club in the world is always looking at players for a variety of reasons. And that is the case with Arsenal as well who are constantly in the process of targeting new players.

One such player that they have decided to take a look at as per reports in the Sun, is Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey who plays for Atletico Madrid.

The 25-year-old midfielder had an excellent season last time around but this season, the story has been a little different as he has found opportunities hard to come by.

He was an integral part of the Europa League campaign of Atletico Madrid last season which ended in victory and it must be noted that he was highly impressive in the semifinal against Arsenal.

It is clear by looking at him, that he has what it takes to succeed at the Emirates. His impressive physique helps him out in the defensive side of the game but he is quite skillful on the ball and can pick out a pass to boot.

These are the qualities that have caught the interest of the Gunners and that is why they are looking at him. It seems that manager Unai Emery is a fan of the player and that could be the deciding factor in the interest of Arsenal.

Another reason for a move like this could be the contract situation that Aaron Ramsey is currently embroiled in. Perhaps the board sees Partey as a replacement for the Welshman who is most likely on his way out of the London club.

If the Gunners are somehow able to get someone of the caliber of Partey, it will be quite a coup for the club as he is one of the best young all-around midfielders in the game. This will also give the Arsenal midfield another dimension and that will probably suit the playing style that Emery wants to employ. He will also be a big help in the club’s aim to get back into the Champions League.
