Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez scored a last-gasp spot-kick as the Gunners beat Burnley 2-1 at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

In recent memory, when a player with tenacity, vision, hunger and drive is talked about, Arsenal football club isn’t the place to look. That remained a fact until one man joined the fold from Barcelona and rest was history. His name, ALEXIS SANCHEZ.

This season, having been played through the middle by The Boss, Sanchez has now contributed directly to over 30 goals for the Gunners in barely 33 games this season. With 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for the North London club, he has proved he is loving life at the Emirates.

With 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for the North London club, he has proved he is loving life at the Emirates.

In today’s game against Burnley, he was again the main man despite not starting as center-forward.

With a total of 8 shots and scoring a delightful penalty to win the game for The Gunners thereby sending the North London club up to second, Alexis Sanchez is proving he’s worth every penny.

The Chilean is a player who plays with fire in his belly. Prior to today’s game, he had contributed directly to 4 goals against Burnley in all competitions with 3 goals and an assist.

It is therefore not a surprise to see him at the top of the chart of goal scorers in the Premier league this season with 15 goals to his name.

He also leads the Arsenal assist chart with 7 assists to his season record as well. Kelvin De Byrne leads the chart with 9.

With his contract talks still hanging in the balance, it is my solemn plea as well as most Arsenal fans that his conditions be met and his services retained.
