Club already in talks with player’s agent, £130,000-a-week star will look to complete Arsenal move

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez could be heading to the Bundesliga in the summer after his representative Fernando Felicevich opened up transfer negotiations with German champions Bayern Munich.

The Chile international has been reluctant to extend his Gunners contract over the past year or so, but manager Arsene Wenger remains adamant that the player will not be sold to a domestic rival.

As a result, Felicevich appears to have begun talks with Bayern over a potential move with the club officials having watched the attacker in action during the Gunners’ 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City, The Mirror, via Sport Bild claims.

Sanchez, who is currently on a £130,000-a-week package at the Emirates, is said to want a £300,000 weekly salary at the least to extend his stay, and this is something which the Gunners will not bow down to.

The Chilean has already amassed an impressive tally of 24 goals and 14 assists for the north London giants this season, but he has looked out of sorts in recent games with his contract situation dragging into the summer.

Felicevich, who also represents Sanchez’s national teammate Arturo Vidal, is now keen to push through a switch to the Bavarian giants with his client unlikely to earn an extension beyond 2018 on his current wage demands.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger’s side are also facing a similar situation with club mate Mesut Ozil, who is prepared to decline the Gunners’ £250,000-a-week offer for a switch to former admirers Barcelona.

Barcelona came close to recruiting Ozil back in the summer of 2010, but the player turned his back on the move after then-boss Pep Guardiola declined a series of calls from the World Cup winner.
